Tips for Planning a Successful Meeting
- Begin planning as soon as you have a meeting date. Call The Forum and reserve your meeting room as early as possible to ensure that space is available.
- Review our meeting planning checklist. Make sure you attend to all the details.
- Know your objective. Make sure you plan your meeting while keeping the objective in mind. Decide what you want the attendees to walk away with after the meeting and plan your meeting to meet your objective.
- Set a manageable agenda. Focusing on too much during a meeting may lead to insufficient time to make decisions and get results. Thoroughly covering limited topics leads to greater productivity.
- Begin and End on time. When attendees set aside a certain part of their day for your meeting, they expect the program to begin and end on time. We have seen attendees walk out of meetings that did not end as scheduled. This often remains in the minds of attendees longer than the topics covered during the meeting.
- Decide where visuals will enhance your messages. Don't use visuals to deliver the presentation; rather, use them to support it.
- Feed the attendees! Time and again, we have found that food very often makes or breaks a meeting. That's why we have an Executive Chef to cater to and meet your food needs.
